Slow & Sacred Flow emphasizes the importance of practicing authentically while focusing on gratitude. A practice that is appropriate for all experience levels. Classes often include instruction on pranayama (breathing exercises), alignment principles of asana (yoga postures), as well as easy to understand information about the philosophy of yoga and the 8 limbs. Students are encouraged to get connected to their physical bodies and to move at a pace that is appropriate for them at that particular moment. Poses explored are basic standing and balancing postures, core strengtheners, heart openers, inversions, and restorative postures. Beginning students will get the clear instruction they need, as well as the time to really explore each pose and modify where necessary. More experienced practitioners will also have the time needed to hold a pose and truly connect breath and movement. Beautiful readings, singing bowls, essential oils, and sometimes guitar serenades make this a very special class experience.
